of nostalgia n forgotten names....

as i walked thru those big black gates with the "mobile phones banned" placard staring right back a flood of memories n emotions enveloped me.! boy im back again after a year... the endless chats in the canteen, the excited scud down the corridors after the last semester exams, the sempiternal lectures , the bitching n pity fights, the blazing hot afternoons spent playin basketball, the absolute time pass days spent in brahmins,vidyarthi bhavan,gaddi chaat n fruit chaat kiosks et al... they all came back n bolted me from my place..!
i no longer study in BMS but a part of me still lives in tht classroom with all our nick names etched on the wooden desks, the benches with all the important formulae of SSD neatly written(boy wonder how i passed tht paper..! phew.!!) and off course the lectures whose voices resonated the four walls... apart from all tht there is one more thing tht pulled me back to this place :: utsav
the all important day for the bullzs of college...

we(jaish,avik,john,sumuk,jan n the rest of the telecommites) had planned to meet up at 2:30 but as always the plan got scrubbed.. i whisked home from the badi courts to get dressed.. oh btw my badi game has really improved,i can actually return smashes.. woo hoo..!! after droppin off my sis at the indoor stadium i vroomed off to college..! its been months but i was amazed at how i could avoid pot-holes n humps without actually seeing it... think the route from home to college is etched in some safe corner of my brain.! i reached BMS to be confronted by the serpentine queue of bikes..! after parking my "street hawk"(read scooty but im damn proud of my stud.!) on one of the gallis i proceeded towards the gate.!! man i was hit.! there wasn't a single face i recognized..gone were the times when i would walk in n wave my hands at every passing dude n dudette..sniff,sniff.!! but i must say the juni's are one hot stylish lot n they were dressed to kill.!
rock show was happening at the main stage.. it was ho-hum.! drag.! met up with a lot off my batch-mates.. the faces were familiar but names i couldn't recollect but i did recollect which dept they studied in.. ahh brownie points..! the usual round of "wht are u doin these days","where are u workin","on wht platform" followed...
finally met my gang.. hooted ,shouted,danced,made merry.. the things that we normally do on fests.. the rock show was followed my some spoof.. n then they played the ever popular filler.."machi readyah.. ahh haa,machii readyahh ahh haa.. say oneh,twoeh,threeeh foureh".... ppl were shouting at the top of there lungs... then started the much awaited Fashion Show.. boy.!! i was wet.. need i say more . :)
